In late 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, visited the UK preparing for a speech at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The event was disrupted by numerous protesters, and Bannon, who was due to travel that evening, told Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters slowed down speech I doubt I can make the flight we are heading to the airport".

Epstein responded: "There. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "U r an excellent helper".

These messages were published on Wednesday alongside more than 20,000 pages from the estate of Epstein, the late financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the Congressional committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's identity is withheld. Media outlets managed to confirm his identity by cross-referencing the dates, occurrences, and locations mentioned.

For instance, Epstein talks about chartering a jet from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the messages, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon participated in the Edinburgh conference on November 14, and delivered the speech at the Oxford two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any misconduct, declined to comment on the inquiry.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon served as Trump's closest aides in the lead-up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his presidency, but stepped down from the White House in 2017.

He has acknowledged he was making a film about Epstein prior to his death and allegedly has around 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his show recently, he said: "We plan to publish the series, the five-part series, next year - early next year."

But the newly released documents indicate Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than being his biographer, with the convicted paedophile at times appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A few days before the conversation in which Epstein seemed to booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the most highly paid booking agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "You are pretty good asst", to which Epstein replied "Therapies. Not Included".

Discussing a trip to "AD" in a separate text, Epstein assured Bannon: "I'll make sure you are taken care of."

British Affairs Mentioned in Exchanges

The released communications also reveal Bannon and Epstein talking about UK politics in 2018.

Earlier on the day of his speech at the Oxford Union, Bannon texted Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the Brexit thing this morning with Farage, Johnson and Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to the UK prime minister, the embattled UK prime minister at the period, he added: "They are trying to proceed. May soon…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "In my view staying as long as you can in the UK. Ideal- so others get the dedication of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein inquired: "Will Theresa may remain in power". Bannon replied: "I don't see how BUT the guys over here have little courage" and noted "Boris ; Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; Davis - someone has to take charge".

May was finally removed in May 2019 after withstanding multiple attempts of lack of support in December 2018.

A spokesman for Reform UK informed media: "Farage has never been in a meeting with Steve Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest such a meeting took place.

The Congress will vote next week on whether the justice department should release all its files concerning its investigation into Epstein, who died in prison in 2019.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with powerful figures was reignited this week after the publication of over 20,000 pages from his estate.

A portion of those mentioned the former president, who has consistently denied any impropriety. The president was a friend of Epstein's for years, but claims they parted ways in the early 2000s, a couple of years prior to Epstein was initially charged.
